R.E.M. rocked Finland yesterday and this is what they played:
  1. What's The Frequency Kenneth yeah, my favourite opener
  2. Living Well Is The Best Revenge
  3. Bad Day
  4. So. Central Rain second time after Stuttgart, must have pissed in helsinki as well :-)
  5. Turn You Inside-Out
  6. Circus Envy woohoo a new one on this tour (?)
  7. Man Sized Wreath thanks to the anonymous comment
  8. The Great Beyond
  9. Hollow Man
  10. Cuyahoga
  11. Accelerate
  12. The One I Love
  13. Ignoreland
  14. 1,000,000 woooow
  15. Electrolite
  16. (Don't Go Back To) Rockville
  17. Losing My Religion
  18. Find the River never heard that Automatic tune live :-(
  19. Let Me In
  20. Little America another new song from reckoning!
  21. Horse To Water
  22. I'm Gonna DJ
  23. Imitation of life
  24. Supernatural Superserious (Encore)
  25. At My Most Beautiful (Encore) again with Ken Stringfellow
  26. Orange Crush (Encore) with the Editors ...
  27. It's The End Of The World As We Know It (And I Feel Fine) (Encore) also with editors, thanks Antti
  28. Man On The Moon (Encore)
Wow, whole lot of surprises! Cuyahoga, Little America, 1,000,000, Find The River ... so cool. Hope it was as "cool" in the rain as it was in Stuttgart ... it couldn't have pissed more :-)

The only drawback: according to remroaddog, Peter's guitar was stolen last night. So if you have any info, let remHQ.com know or post a thread on murmurs.com they will know how to contact the right people!

Edit: I added Man Sized Wreath and Hollow Man, thanks to the comments!
Edit2: Alright, they played Little America and Circus Envy in Prague, thanks to the comment for pointing that out

Great show in the pouring rain last night! Michael and the boys pulled out some old songs to warm up the crowd: 1,000,000, Cuyahoga, Little America, So. Central Rain (how appropriate). They certainly rocked it all evening. Thanks guys!
Was lucky enough to see Michael walking around downtown Helsinki before the show. Shook his hand and thanked him for the years of great music. He said thanks and bring a rain jacket.
Next stop Tallinn!

and I thought I was lucky getting high five during "The One I Love" ... but meeting him accidentally is even better. Wonder you recognised him and didn't think something like "this guy looks like Michael Stipe" and leave it like that :-)

A great show with a wonderful setlist. Can't remember the last time I had so much fun standing outside in the pouring rain.

Great gig, great athmosphere, simply A GREAT BAND. Despite the awful weather I really enjoyed their performance.
And what a setlist; Find The River, Cuyahoga and of course The One I Love, Orange Crush and many more. Absolutely brilliant. Hope they come back soon.

You forgot "Man sized wreath" from the setlist. It was played after "Circus envy".

the gig was amazing! better than the new york gig in june. i wasn't expecting much mainly due to the absolutely awful weather but i was just smiling through the whole gig. i was dressed to the occation with rubber boots, rain coat and rain trousers.
btw editors were on stage for the end of the world as well.
i must say that it is absolutely insane that peter's guitar got stolen from the stage! how can that happen?! i sincerely hope that they catch the bastard who did that or at least get the guitar back!

one thing i'd like to add is that cuyahoga was played because it was requested by editors. well that's what michael said during the introduction.
i'm still amazed that i got to hear that. it's my second favourite r.e.m song after driver 8. now i've heard them both!

I feel so sad for Peter's guitar. I enjoyed the gig sooo much despite the bad weather. I hope the band didn't get the "wrong picture" of Finland now... It's been a bad, bad day. I truly hope that the rickenbacker returns!!

Hello folks!
Last tuesday's R.E.M. concert was a very special event for me and specially for my 12 years old Rasmus son. I gave him as a birthday present this ticket for this show. The hole summer he was eagerly waiting to see our fav's at stage.
We were well equipped because of the chilly and rainy evening. Weather was at the end a good thing. We were all struggling against that lousy enemy! R.E.M. was in absolutely great mood and played the best concert of the season. (I've seen Bruce, Neil, R.Thompson etc) this year.
One tiny and special note. Just before leaving to Gig we played one more song at home. That was Cuyahoga. I told Rasmus that we won't be hearing that one tonite. But as our suprise we did! That was one the truly highlight of that wonderful evening.
